PainChek Android Release Note - Update 4.23.1 & 4.24

Who should read this?

This release note applies to all PainChek users who are currently using PainChek for Android on a phone or tablet.

What's happening?

The PainChek Android application release versions 4.23.1 and 4.24 will be made available for download from the Google Play Store from 24/01/2022.

What's changed?

4.23.1:

  • 4.23.1 is compatible with Android OS version 7 or older.
  • Other minor bug fixes.

Note: Android OS version 7 and PainChek 4.23.1 are older, less secure products. It is highly recommended using later versions of both products. PainChek 4.23.1 for Android will be the last version of PainChek that supports Android OS version 7 and it will not be receiving any security, performance or functionality updates in the future.

4.24:

  • 4.24 is compatible with Android OS version 8 or newer.
  • This version of PainChek strengthens the Quick Sign in PIN encryption. Once a user signs in to PainChek 4.24 the PIN is converted to the newer version and is no longer compatible with older versions of PainChek.
  • Fixed aesthetic layout issues for clients using Android 11.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Take Photo" option was not displaying on Android 11 when setting up profile pictures.
  • Added support for date formats based on system preference settings.
  • Other minor bug fixes.

What do I have to do?
