Who should read this?

This release note applies to all PainChek users who are currently using PainChek Portal website.

What's happening?

The PainChek Portal version PainChek Backend 2.78.1 will be released on Tuesday 17th of February 2026.

What's changed?

Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements

• Fixed an error that prevented user creation for some organisations: “You do not have permission to set competency_date”.

• Fixed SSO sign-in for older versions of the mobile app when the newer SSO browser-based flow is enabled, avoiding cases where users were shown an “install the app” screen instead of being logged in.

New Features & Enhancements

• Updated SSO provisioning so the SiteName attribute can match a site’s SSO alias (as well as the site name) when assigning users to sites.

Security & Maintenance Updates

• Updated backend dependencies to address identified security vulnerabilities.

What do I have to do?

There's no action required. The update will occur on the server so when you log in after the update is applied, you will already be using the latest version.

In the unlikely event that the PainChek Portal gives an error after the upgrade, please clear the cache from your web browser. Please speak with your internal IT team if your web browser needs the cache cleared.
