PainChek Back-End 2.85 & Front-End 3.54 Release Notes Update - Wednesday 19th of August 2026

Who should read this?

This release note applies to all PainChek users who are currently using PainChek Portal website.

What's happening?

The PainChek Portal version 3.54 and PainChek Backend version 2.85 will be released on Wednesday 18th of August 2026.

What's changed?

Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements

  • Resolved an issue where newly created licences could contain an obsolete configuration value, ensuring licence settings are created correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where users with all Portal permissions set to None could see the error message “Failed to fetch pending users” during login.

  • Updated BestMed assessment deliveries to use the facility’s local assessment date, ensuring dates received by BestMed align with the assessment location’s timezone.

  • Improved the reliability of BestMed integration migration to webhook-based delivery, including support for transitioning existing integrations without disrupting assessment synchronisation.

New Features & Enhancements

  • Product Owners can now view External ID values for sites and residents in list and detail views when an External ID is available.

  • Added detailed webhook delivery history, including the ability to view the payload sent to an external provider for troubleshooting and verification purposes.

Security & Maintenance Updates

  • Updated backend and reporting service dependencies to address identified security vulnerabilities.

  • Updated Portal dependencies to address identified security vulnerabilities.

  • Improved internal access management controls and account state handling for administrative database access processes.

  • Standardised internal security scanning processes across projects to improve consistency and maintainability.What do I have to do?

There's no action required. The update will occur on the server so when you log in after the update is applied, you will already be using the latest version.

In the unlikely event that the PainChek Portal gives an error after the upgrade, please clear the cache from your web browser. Please speak with your internal IT team if your web browser needs the cache cleared.
