Who should read this? This release note applies to all PainChek users who are currently using PainChek Portal website. What's happening? The PainChek Portal version 3.49 and PainChek Backend version 2.80 will be released on Tuesday 28th of April 2026. What's changed?Inactive report subscriptions are no longer shown in the report subscriptions list, making it easier to focus on active subscriptions. Fixed the Create Role form becoming stuck after a role was successfully saved.
New Features & EnhancementsRegion-based management reportingLicense Admins can now group sites into named "regions" and create, edit, archive and list those regions from a new Regions area in the portal. Added a new type of management report type runs per region, looking and reading similar to the existing per-site management report. Access to a region is governed by the underlying sites: a user can only act on a region if they already have access to every site in it. On release, the new Regions permission is granted to License Admins only. Other roles (Admin, User, and any custom roles) receive no access by default but can be granted Region access as required.
Consent management for usersNew "Manage Consents" tab on the user profile page, listing each currently published consent agreement the user has responded to, including whether it is mandatory or optional, the user's current response, and the date it was provided. For optional consents, users can use the "Update" action to open the full consent text, change their response, and submit the update. Mandatory consents show a "View" action only; the response cannot be changed.
SSO — force re-authentication toggleSSO configurations now include a "Force re-authentication" setting. When enabled, users are required to re-authenticate with their identity provider on each sign-in; when disabled, an existing identity provider session can be reused. The setting defaults to enabled (matching existing behaviour). Internal PainChek staff can toggle it per SSO configuration.
HealthChek reporting — ZPI labelSecurity & Maintenance UpdatesWhat do I have to do?There's no action required. The update will occur on the server so when you log in after the update is applied, you will already be using the latest version. In the unlikely event that the PainChek Portal gives an error after the upgrade, please clear the cache from your web browser. Please speak with your internal IT team if your web browser needs the cache cleared. |
